About

There is a place where artists go to prepare for their shows. A place of collaboration, preparation, and comradery. Everyone, whether they perform in front of an audience or work behind the scenes, engages in conversations about their given craft, their thoughts on art, and their aspirations. That place is backstage.

This podcast is focused on having those conversations with all manner of artists on, off, or even behind the stage. You'll hear the stories, emotions, and the passions that make, drive, and influence all kinds of art. So grab a seat, make your favorite drink, and step through the curtain into The Backstage Lounge.

Andrew Fisher is an instrumentalist, singer, and voice teacher from Michigan. Whether performing with his jazz fusion group The Andrew Fisher Quartet, music directing, coaching, planning events, and performing in recitals he pursues his love of music and performance. His work has taken him far and wide but his home base is in the midwest with his work in Illinois, Indiana, and Michigan.

As Andrew has gone along his career, he has been able to work with all manner of artists, producers, craftspeople, and more. Every conversation and exchange left an impact. Wanting to find a way to capture those "Behind the scene" conversations Andrew started this podcast. His hope is to create a repository of the diverse experiences and processes of the art world and all who work in it... To be a place where artists can store their thoughts, aspiring artists can learn more about their craft and the general public can get an inside look into this unseen world.
