The Pool
The Pool is a residence located in Central High Apartments in downtown South Bend. A former high school swimming pool converted into an apartment, The Pool from 2012-2015 served as a unique space for South Bend residents to experience a growing and legitimate arts and entertainment culture. Residents of the Pool opened up their home to host live music shows 1-3 times per month. Other community events like yoga, game tournaments, movie nights, etc. were also held in The Pool. All events were 100% donation based, with all donations going back to perfomers/community initiatives. In 2015, due to new ownership and management of Central High Apartments, the Pool was required to convert back to a residence-only status. While it's tenure was too short, the experiences had and memories created will be remembered by all who witnessed The Pool's magic.
